What works for my “cosmetic” prostheses can be applied to my body powered prosthesis as well. Why red at all?<\/a> Red works anywhere. Here we go.<\/p>\n

Hook<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wearing the hook on a red socket is a no brainer.<\/p>\n

Hand<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wearing the hand, however, is more of an interesting project.<\/p>\n

So far, so good. Silicon gloves such as the ones you see are still of the ‘standard prosthetic paradigm’ variety (i.e., trying to look as much like a real hand as financially possible).<\/p>\n

Now, what about the ATLAS VINYLOVE 460<\/a> or ATLAS VINYLOVE 620<\/a> gloves?<\/p>\n

Works like a charm. The glove is very affordable and has a great grip.<\/p>\n

Here is the disassembled setup showing the MSM wrist 0.1 rev. Also you can see that I fixed the glove around the wrist using red insulation tape.<\/p>\n

There is a functional look about it. It seems like the type of glove one could work with. Good – as Otto Bock specifically had me informed that they would not guarantee any damage to their gloves whatsoever I figured there would be better solutions around the corner.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

You are saying that it looks artificial? Who’d a thunk it. Remember: “Don’t waste time on the obvious”.<\/p>\n

Typing skills using Red Arm<\/strong><\/p>\n

This just gives you an impression how that darned thing looks in action.<\/p>\n

Red artificial leather sleeve<\/strong><\/p>\n

Some people only want a temporary change of appearance. So we came up with a way to get perfect 2D sewing patterns for 3D shapes. I documented the technique in detail here<\/a>. The result is definitely cool. Check it out.<\/p>\n
