June 17th, 2013 , the Mimi Foundation in collaboration with Leo Burnett France, invited 20 cancer patients to participate in a unique makeover experience . This film shows the adventure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n\n<!-- iframe plugin v.6.0 wordpress.org\/plugins\/iframe\/ -->\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pMWU8dEKwXw\" frameborder=\"0\" 0=\"allowfullscreen\" scrolling=\"yes\" class=\"iframe-class\"><\/iframe>\n\n<p>Being care free is what makes a <em>real<\/em> difference.<\/p>\n<p>Care free is NOT:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>having to focus hard on non-intuitive myoelectric prosthetic controls<\/li>\n<li>suffering pain from asymmetry, an uncomfortable socket or a heavy weight prosthetic<\/li>\n<li>having to get repairs for the prosthetic arm on a weekly basis or so<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That list is not complete.<\/p>\n<p>In part, the deep wish to be care free may also help to explain why not wearing a prosthetic arm, why wearing service free passive \/ cosmetic arms, and why wearing more durable body powered arms is so relevant: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swisswuff.ch\/tech\/?p=256\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the feeling at the end of the day, the end of day feeling (EODF)<\/a>, is so different once one gravitates towards being care free. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swisswuff.ch\/tech\/?p=2371\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Working towards a low-care high performance body powered arm certainly cost me a lot of effort,<\/a> and it certainly &#8211; from an emotional view point &#8211; makes an absolutely massive difference. The EODF is the ultimate in prosthetic performance measurement.<\/p>\n<p>And so it is very relevant to me that beng care free seems to be also what other people wish for, crave for. It is a deep wish, a very important wish. It enables one to focus on what makes life worth living.
