This is certainly relevant to know right from the outset. As that it can not be considered for people with longer stumps such as me.<\/p>\n<p>Weight apparently is around 700g without socket. However, no one wears a prosthetic hand flush to the skin &#8211; always, some 5-15 mm of parts go in between.\u00a0In my instance, distance between pin end (if we are to wear silicone liners and a pin lock) and tip of thumb is around 13 cm.\u00a0This means that a realistic setup with a Michelangelo hand would be too long by 3-6 cm.\u00a0This means that Otto Bock is selling a really long unit there. That is for people with shorter stumps.<\/p>\n<p>For time being, absolutely no mechanical cable powered bionic hand, or shorter myoelectric hand is in sight.
