<\/a><\/p>\nIn context of prosthetic robotics, that matches real life experiences of myoelectric prostheses relatively well. We are constantly given some propaganda, as the contrast to advertised super-function is that myoelectric things in real life just never work out [link<\/a>].<\/p>\n\n- We are repeatedly told that training is everything and that the myoelectric prosthesis itself works perfectly reliably. That is propaganda, Fact is that myoelectric control error rates are far below any error rates acceptable for industrial applications. And fact is that these error rates never, ever, improved, even over a period of 40 (FOURTY!) years, 4 (FOUR!) decades of “research” [link<\/a>] – and yet they tell us that they are “on to something” by “pushing” research through means of “circus freak show” [link<\/a>]? Who exactly was going to believe that? Who gives them the idea they can get away by presenting outright lies to us?<\/li>\n
- The Cybathlon 2016 easily exposed some of the deeper issues there [link<\/a>], later we published a description of the relevant aspects of actual prosthetic arm development [link<\/a>], but that never changed practice, research or development. Who believes that problems that could not be solved in over 40 years of “research” suddenly dissolve? That must be more propaganda.<\/li>\n
