Background

After we had ceiling-mounted an el-cheapo ceiling LED lamp (Lumimart NAVIER 6.123.437), the product worked for a short time but then the remote seemingly crapped out and no way to set the lamp after someone tried to play with the lamp and “worked” the buttons for a bit. So apparently there is a way to unlink a remote control from a lamp, too, which is not documented in the instructions.

Replacing battery did not change anything – the remote turns a red LED on (on the remote) to show that a button is being pressed while it is being pressed, but that still does not mean that the remote really controls the lamp.
The ceiling lamp clearly was in good working order, it lit up when wall switch/electricity was turned on.

What is up?

Problem: connecting the remote control to the ceiling lamp according to instructions does not work, because the instructions are wrong

So they say this:

1A: switch the electricity of the lamp “on”
1B: press the ( I ) “on” button of remote control for 2-3 seconds to establish a link to the ceiling lamp

And that is wrong.

Also, that will never work.

The logic behind it is that the lamp won’t “know” that the person to press the remote “on” button (step 1B) is also the person that owns the lamp and provides its electricity (step 1A).

So clearly we are dealing with a cheap instance of 2FA, but, well implemented technically nevertheless. The thing that is wrong is the instructions though.

Solution: correct instruction how to connect remote to lamp

The way to connect remote to lamp really is more like this:

1A switch ceiling lamp / electricity/ wall switch “off”
1B press remote control “on” switch ( I ) down and hold it down and keep pressing it down
1C while still holding down the remote “on” switch, switch on wall / electricity switch for the lamp and wait maybe 2-3 seconds, something should blink

Hintergrund

Nachdem wir eine el-cheapo Decken-LED-Lampe (Lumimart NAVIER 6.123.437) an der Decke montiert hatten, funktionierte das Produkt für eine kurze Zeit, aber dann gab die Fernbedienung scheinbar den Geist auf und es gab keine Möglichkeit, die Lampe einzustellen, nachdem jemand versucht hatte, mit der Lampe zu spielen und die Tasten ein wenig zu “bedienen”.

Offenbar gibt es also auch eine Möglichkeit, die Verbindung der Fernbedienung von der Lampe zu trennen, was in der Anleitung nicht beschrieben ist.

Das Auswechseln der Batterie hat nichts geändert – die Fernbedienung schaltet eine rote LED ein (auf der Fernbedienung), um zu zeigen, dass eine Taste gedrückt wird, während sie gedrückt wird, aber das bedeutet immer noch nicht, dass die Fernbedienung die Lampe wirklich steuert.

Die Deckenlampe war offensichtlich in gutem Zustand, sie leuchtete auf, als der Wandschalter/Strom eingeschaltet wurde.

Was ist da los?

Problem: Das Verbinden der Fernbedienung mit der Deckenlampe gemäß Anleitung funktioniert nicht, da die Anleitung falsch ist

In der Anleitung steht folgendes:

1A: schalte den Strom der Lampe ein
1B: an der Fernbedienung die Taste ( I ) “on” 2-3 Sekunden lang drücken, um eine Verbindung zur Deckenlampe herzustellen

Und das ist falsch.

Das wird niemals funktionieren.

Die Logik dahinter ist, dass die Lampe nicht “weiß”, dass die Person, die den Fernbedienungsknopf “an” drückt (Schritt 1B), auch die Person ist, die die Lampe besitzt und ihren Strom bereitstellt (Schritt 1A).

Hier ist für Fernbedienung und Lampe eine technisch einfach bedienbare 2FA implenentiert, und die Lösung ebenso logisch. Nur die Anleitung ist falsch.

Lösung: korrekte Anleitung für die Verbindung der Fernbedienung mit der Lampe

Die Verbindung der Fernbedienung mit der Lampe sieht in Wirklichkeit folgendermassen aus:

1A Deckenlampe/Strom/Wandschalter “aus” schalten
1B drücken Sie den Einschalter der Fernbedienung ( I ) nach unten und halten Sie ihn gedrückt und halten Sie ihn gedrückt
1C während Sie den “Ein”-Schalter der Fernbedienung noch gedrückt halten, schalten Sie den Wand-/Stromschalter für die Lampe ein und warten Sie vielleicht 2-3 Sekunden, dann sollte etwas blinken.
