Hanging up curtains can be difficult with one hand but I found an efficient way to get it done. The main thing is to search outside the box.

I buy curtain gliders that contain plastic hooks (see images below). They are also available at Ikea. Then I use a hole punch (see images below) to prepare the curtain. After that, sliding in the gliders is easy. The resulting curtain will hang nicely and without anyone noticing the cheap works.
