Training for failure [wobble tip]

I almost fell from the chair when I just saw this training idea about how to gain a more secure gait.

In essence, they are saying to distort the (otherwise) stable input to your brain to make it react in a better way.

I guess that means a range of things:

  • Include failure surprises for cars. Makes you proficient in dealing with the car break down, getting support, financing repairs, finding transport or hotels.
  • Include sudden failure for mobile phones and computers. Makes people understand why the Orange Book was written. Maybe.
  • Include failure surprises for commercially available prosthetic parts. Oh, dang! I forgot. We already have that ; )
