Universal robot gripper based on jamming of granular material II - shooting stuff around

Over a year ago, a vacuum bag gripper developed at the Cornell University showed up in the media.

Now it seems that thing cannot only grab but shoot, throw or pop items.

I am not sure I need to wear this as a functional item to, like, shoot around popcorn or chocolate nuts - but the capabilities of modern grippers that are developed outside of prosthetics is increasingly intriguing and interesting.
